And The Winner Is..

This morning at 10:30, the LAN finals of EPS Denmark started with the match between Spirit of Amiga and Gravitas Gaming.

The clash between the two Danish top teams went off with a dominating SoA. At train, ArcadioN & Co. crushed the tame Gravitas with 16-6. Switching to inferno, Gravitas tried to fight back but they didn't really come close to the superior opponent at any time - SoA won 16-12 and therefore the match with 2-0.

With the win, SoA played themselves to the Grand Final where their opponent should be found in the match between wooSai and chemistry. This semifinal wasn't at all close - wooSai were compared to chemistry superior in all aspects and won easily 16-5 / 16-7 at nuke and dust2.

pzyclone had reason to be very happy after crushing chemistry.

Losing to wooSai, Gravitas were facing chemistry in the match where the 3rd place and 4.500DKK were at stake. At inferno, a close and exciting match was played between the two losing teams. chemistry surprised with the victory over Ideal in the last online match of EPS Denmark, which secured them the final spot at the LAN finals, and they were close to surprise everybody again. Gravitas, however, closed the match in the end with the score 16-13.

Having decided the 3rd and 4th place, next stop was the Grand Final between the well-playing teams SoA and wooSai. In the final, SoA couldn't manage to play with the normal lineup - trace was unable to play the match because he was going to celebrate his 18 years birthday. Therefore, the manager of SoA - TwAizZ - dropped in as the last fifth. The Grand Final went off at nuke, SoA starting as T. Even though they played with a standin, SoA did a great job winning the T-side 10-5. wooSai, however, responded instantly after the sideswitch and won the map 16-14.

The match continued on inferno where SoA couldn't keep hold of wooSai anymore. wooSai showed the same great play as we saw against chemistry and took home the 2nd map with 16-9. Especially woodi and FaG played very well.

With wooSai taking the grand prize at 15.000 DKK (2960$), we bring you the final standings from the LAN finals of EPS Denmark:

2. SoA - 8.500 DKK
3. Gravitas - 4.500 DKK
4. chemistry - 2.500 DKK
